In every county there are things to do and buy that are not always “out there” for the general public to know about. Some examples from other areas who have done this are a person who makes her own soaps and fragrances and sells bamboo-fiber sheets; unique books by local authors, people who will teach or have for sale unique crafts or even scuba diving lessons. Many of you know how to do things that others don’t. Start or add to your existing business teaching these skills is a possibility to increase business and have fun.

The whole idea of this is to generate a list of unique things offered locally that have been a well-kept secret (which makes no one any money). Even if the items you think of are already out there, put them in anyway as there might be a new way to let people know about them.

This is an effort by the Chamber to stimulate business. If you are a crafter who has not yet been “found,” let us know about you. We are thinking of a brochure or advertisement letting people know about anything in Henry County that is now unadvertised. We know you are out there. Do yourself a favor and tell us about it. If you know of someone who has a unique idea, talent etc., tell us.
