Chamber activities reflect significant community needs undertaken by staff and members to make our county a better
place in which to live and make a living.
The Chamber was formed in June 1996 and currently has approximately 225 members. Former County Judge-Executive
Tommy Bryant has said, "The Chamber may be the most important thing that has ever happened in the county."
"I see this as our great opportunity to get all the people in the county together," Bryant said. "We've got great
individual cities, but unity is our goal."
Chamber members gather in various communities for quarterly networking dinners. Past keynote speakers include
author and county resident - Wendell Berry, Tom Monahan, Editor of Business First, Charles Mattingly of the Better Business Bureau, and Ron Crouch, director of the
state data center at the University of Louisville.
The Chamber publishes a quarterly newsletter entitled
Chamber Briefings. It includes articles on business related issues, business tips, addresses concerns of Henry County while updating members on the latest
Chamber news.
